Gil Beck Barn is a fantastic property. So well equipped, warm and homely. It had everything we needed and a fantastic enclosed garden for our dog. A 10 minute walk into the village and the lovely tearoom and pub! Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return!

Gill Beck Barn is a beautiful, spacious, immaculately presented holiday home close to the peaceful village of Melmerby in the Eden Valley. The high quality furnishings, bathrooms, and equipment provide a level of comfort and luxury which is outstanding. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Gill Beck Barn and hope to return to another of the properties available through the Rowley Estates very soon.

We stayed at Gill Beck for a friends 60th birthday. Three couples and three dogs. The house was perfect. Spacious, clean with everything you need. The garden was perfect for the dogs. From the initial email from Christine requesting bed configuration to what sheets you would like I knew it was going to be special. If you want peace, tranquility and special time with friends and family Gill Beck is perfect.

My family and I stayed here in July to celebrate my 60th birthday. The attention to detail is second to none and Christine and her team definitely make you feel that you are the first to be staying in the property. The accommodation is fantastic offering 3 en-suite bedrooms and the kitchen facilities with Aga are very extensive. We have never had such an amazing welcome hamper, despite many UK holidays. As the weather was so warm we spent a lot of time in the large garden, which our dogs loved too and took advantage of the bbq and complimentary charcoal. We were invited to raspberry pick in the Rowley Estate field near Long Meg and her Daughters which we did and also bought their homemade jam which was delicious. This was our second stay, the first being in March 2022 when we came with friends and enjoyed cooking with the Aga and snuggling up around the log burner. The barn with all its facilities successfully caters for every season and we know we will definitely be booking to go back again. Well done everyone for providing such a wonderful Cumbrian holiday experience.

We have being using Rowley Estates for several years now & this is the third different property we have tried owned by Christine at Rowley Estates & it did not disappoint as normal :) We stayed for a week & it was so relaxing the local pub & bakery were amazing highly recommended made several visits & they are both dog friendly & easy walking distance ! The dogs loved the garden it was massive they spent ours chasing each other around it :) The three on suite rooms were lovely we stayed up stairs & the view was amazing fields all around you full of sheep. Lots of lovely dog walks without getting in a car. The welcome hamper is also great everything in it was lovely.

Lovely, homey and spacious property, perfect for a family get away. Plenty of outdoor space for your furry friend as well, with every detail taken care of in terms of facilities including an outdoor dog shower! Bedrooms and bathrooms were all done to a high standard to make your stay extra comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

A wonderful find in a beautiful part of the country. I would thoroughly recommend Gill Beck Barn for its comfort, luxury and the quality of the accommodation. The barn was equipped to a very high standard and we all voted it the very best rental property we had ever stayed in. We also enjoyed a splendid welcome hamper!

Beautiful property in a quiet, peaceful location yet only 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot to the the village, where you will find a pub and toy shop. There is also an excellent bakery which is open seven days a week. This includes a cafe, general provisions and ladies clothing shop. This was our second visit to Gill Beck Barn and we have also stayed in other properties owned by Rowley Estates, as all of their properties deliver the same high standard of accommodation.

We had a wonderful short break at Gill Beck Barn, 3 couples and 3 dogs, for 4 nights. Extremely well appointed and very comfortable throughout, plus a very large and secure garden for the dogs. Clean, warm, and great attention to detail - including the lovely hamper! We would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.
