Small and friendly campsite that is a few metres from a lovely country pub. Level pitches, sparkling washrooms. Very reasonably priced.

Great Motorhome stop, 50yds to the pub, hardstanding pretty much level, electric and easy water. Elsan point. Showers and toilets if you need them behind the pub. Pub is very nice and do take out.

Lovely small site, excellent size pitch with generous hardstanding and grass area, EHU along with water by each pitch, black water disposal nicely screened off on the corner of the field. Good clean shower and toilets. Quiet location ideal for walking and as the name implies close to the Highest peak in the Pennine Hills – Cross Fell. Only a short drive to Penrith and the Lake District beyond. Pub opposite, has at least one real ale, which on my visit was a good session IPA, limited opening hours. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet clean small site.

Great site - excellent pitches that are immaculately maintained. The toilet is nice and access to drinking water although no shower. Owner very friendly and price very reasonable. Quiet site with a good feel and overall definitely recommend

We only stayed one night here, and it was a great little site. Really quiet and in such a beautiful location. The site is across from a pub, and the toilets and showers are by the pub. The showers and toilets are large, with hot water, hair dryer and were really clean (just clean it down after use).
The village is lovely and we had a great walk around.
I'd definitely use this again

A very quiet site with ample sized pitches, water, ehu and elsan disposal. The pub across the road looks nice (I didn't go) and toilets/showers are situated behind the pub. I found this a little inconvenient due to a knee problem but they were roomy and clean with plenty of hot water and even a hair dryer.
There were no nearby shops for emergency milk, so go prepared! About a 20 minute drive into Penrith with the Lake District nearby.

Lovely little site with dog friendly pub just across the road serving good priced decent food! Toilet /shower etc also behind the pub so a bit of a walk in the night if you don’t have onboard facilities! Great for a stop over and visit the the Bakery cafe in town for breakfast!

Only stayed for one night on the way up to Scotland and had a nightmare with the jockey wheel as the pin had snapped. Sid (the proprietor) was really helpful as he had the tools to come and fix our pin on the jockey wheel and made us all feel really welcome.
Lovely quiet spot with a local pub across the road and very peaceful and dog friendly.
Thankyou again sid and hope to see you again soon!

If you're looking for a nice cheap site that takes tents, caravans, etc, this is a perfect site. Not a lot to do here. Has a good pub that dose nice meals. Friendly owner and the site is well maintained. The highlight of this site is the toilets/showers, although there is only two per sex. See pictures. If you have kids to entertain don't go here or you'll be tearing your hair out. Also there is a fast road where I think a lot of the locals drive home after a sesh in the pub..
